What are the precautions during the selection process of LED light strips?

LED light strips and LED soft light strips, as emerging energy-saving products, are not yet familiar to consumers. Today, we will take you to learn what precautions to pay when choosing LED light strip products:

1、 Consistency of LED color: Currently, there are many packaging factories in China, including thousands of large and small ones, with varying strengths and weaknesses. There are many small packaging factories that do not have a color splitter, so they either do not separate colors or send them out, which makes it difficult to ensure quality. LEDs that have not undergone color separation have poor color consistency, and the effect of lighting them on LED soft light strips is not as good. Of course, the price difference is also relatively large.

2、 The chips used for LED soft light strips include domestic and imported chips. Chips vary greatly in price. At present, the most expensive chips are from the United States, followed by Japanese and German chips, and the moderately priced ones are from Taiwan. At present, the LED soft light strips produced in the market use Taiwanese wafers and Guangjia chips, which are relatively affordable and have good performance.

3、 LED brightness: The prices of different brightness LEDs vary, with significant differences between the prices of regular and bright LEDs. Therefore, when purchasing, it is important to have a clear understanding of what brightness you need in order to accurately position your product.

4、 LED color: Different colors result in different prices. Due to the difficulty in color matching and color separation, the prices of white and green are higher than those of other colors; Red, yellow, blue and other colors are easier to separate and have good consistency, so the price is slightly cheaper. Special colors such as purple and brown are the most expensive due to color matching reasons.

5、 LED welding effect: The assembly of LED soft light strips can be divided into two types: manual welding and machine welding. Manual welding involves using soldering iron and using the most primitive method for welding. The products produced by this operation mode have an ugly appearance (inconsistent size of solder joints, too much flux residue, unsmooth solder joints, scalded LED packages, etc.), and poor electrostatic protection measures, many LED chips are broken down, resulting in a slightly bright or not bright phenomenon when powered on.

6、 FPC material: FPC is divided into two types: rolled copper and copper coated. Copper coated plates are relatively cheap, while rolled copper is more expensive. The solder pads of copper clad plates are prone to detachment during bending, while rolled copper does not. The specific material used for FPC depends on the purchaser's decision based on the usage environment. The FPC currently used by Xinshengkai Optoelectronics is all rolled copper, so the LED soft light strips produced are also relatively resistant to bending.
